Ribo exam prep  that is known to be one of the toughest in Canada. It requires a great deal of study and extensive knowledge of insurance brokerage practices. To become an insurance broker in Ontario, you’ll need to complete a Level 1 (under supervision) course and the RIBO licensing exam. Those who successfully complete the exam can apply to work at a RIBO registered general insurance brokerage firm.

The RIBO 1 exam contains 90 multiple choice questions worth one mark each and a multi-part case study question for 10 marks, totalling 100 marks. The exam is written over three hours. To pass the exam, you must score 75% or higher. The RIBO level 1 license allows you to sell home and auto insurance in Ontario.

If you want to move on and get your RIBO 2 licence, you’ll need to study for and write the Level 2 exam. Once you have passed this, you can sell a wider range of insurance products including business and liability insurance in addition to Habitational and Auto Insurance.

The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario maintains strict examination security before, during and after the exam. This includes ensuring that you are not using any prohibited materials in the test-taking area. If you are caught, your results could be reviewed and nullified by RIBO.
